Synopsis of The Umm Hmm Chronicles
Carl with the help of his girlfriend Tisha, has risen from the street and became a successful business man opening the infamous, Aces & Eights. Tisha has gone back to college and obtained her degree and Carl feels like she has changed and is not “in” to him anymore. Tisha has 2 good friends, Jalisa and Chantrelle. Jalisa is pretending to be a friend but in essence, she is a “friend-enemy”. Chantrelle, the quiet one, has a terrible secret that could blow Carl and Tisha’s relationship out of the water. Then there’s Aunt Jo, with a deep dark secret of her own that she’s been hiding for years but she has to tell someone before she explodes.
So many secrets, so many lies, so many questions…..who are all the people that hang around Carl…Tony, Grace, George, little Jaequan and all the other strange people in and out of Aces and Eights? How do the secrets and lies tie them all together? What will become of Carl and Tisha when the truth is revealed….
